It's Time to Get Excited About San Diego State Aztecs Football!

There has been so much conjecture about San Diego State athletics this past year.  Are we staying in the Mountain West Conference?  Or is it a foregone conclusion that we are headed to the Pac 12?  What about the Big 12?  The guessing game has taken our eye off the ball, and we forget that there are athletes and coaches who have no say in the matter, and are solely focused on competing and winning no matter who they are lining up against.  Aztec Football is locked in on winning their opener against Ohio on August 26th at Snapdragon Stadium, then in comes Idaho State (Sep. 2) followed by UCLA (Sep. 9).  Three games in 3 weeks at Snapdragon!  This will be a great barometer as to where the football program is at.  The Aztecs showed flashes of promise last year, and suffered some crushing defeats.  There was a lot of turmoil and turnover in the ranks, but they still managed to make it to a bowl game.  Players were thrust into new roles and forced out of their comfort zones.  Perhaps we will be better for that this season.  New coaches are settling into the mix.  We have a promising new Offensive Coordinater in Ryan Lindley.  Ryan is the all time SDSU passing leader and will also be mentoring the quarterbacks.

There is a lot to be excited about, and Coach Brady Hoke will be joining us to give his perspective on what to get excited about and what to look for in the upcoming season!  Let's show up and show some love for the team.  They are deserving of our support.  We look forward to seeing you and sharing in some brotherhood.
